CONTENT SPECIALIST- remote

Patrick Coffin Media and Coffin Nation is a company dedicated to engaging, changing, and restoring our culture via a maximum number of appropriate media outlets. We are looking for a part-time Content Specialist to coordinate and assist with weekly content creation and research. Candidate must reside in Orange County, CA.

This is a part-time job, 4 hrs a day, and could become full-time in the future.

Requirements:

  • Graduated from college with degree in communications, English, theology, or marketing, or journalism
  • Excellent research and writing skills
  • Publishing experience in WordPress and Social Media platforms
  • Basic graphic design skill 
  • Disciplined and organized
  • Ability to work under pressure, with attention to detail, to meet deadlines 
  • Ability to take direction and receive constructive feedback well
  • Knowledge of project management best practices
  • Minimum two years’ of writing experience
  • Strong knowledge of the Catholic Faith and related literature such as apologetics, basic history, and pop culture
  • Avid media consumer, mainly of online Catholic and news sites.

Duties include:

  • Write articles/reports/stories/commentaries/pdfs
  • Research and curate material for weekly reports
  • Publish on our social media platforms and websites
  • Research and locate prospective guests and sponsors
  • Loading blog post content from Word or Google Docs into WordPress blog
  • Coordinating, proofreading, and posting curated blogs and videos for our websites submitted by guest authors
  • Event planning

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT AND COMMUNITY MANAGER- remote

Patrick Coffin Media and Coffin Nation is a company dedicated to engaging, changing, and restoring our culture via a maximum number of appropriate media outlets. We are looking for a part-time Administrative Assistant and Community manager to manage the backend of the membership activities, communicate with members and manage the online store. Candidate must reside in Orange County, CA.

This is a part-time job, four hours a day, and could become full-time.

Requirements:

  • Graduated from college with a degree in Business or Bookkeeping
  • Experience with databases in Excel and Access.
  • Experience with customer support
  • Disciplined and organized
  • Experience with Paypal and Stripe environments
  • Proven attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience with online business management and tools
  • Tech-savvy and able to solve problems with financial institutions and other business merchants.
  • Event planning

Duties include:

  • Weekly review of PayPal account to add new and update recurring donations to Access database.
  • Manage members’ database on website and inside Mailchimp
  • Manage online store
